To kick off the night, "Im back" hit as eric bischoff made his long awaited return to the asylum and reclaimed his spot as the general manager of the asylum and said that things have been completely out of hand and he was gonna change that right now, cuz starting next week in the asylum, all title matches would be fought under a new rule, it was called extreme rules, anything goes all out brawl. Secondly he wanted to up the stakes for king of the mat so he announced that next week six men from the final eight of the king of the mat tournament would get their first chance at becoming world champion as they would face each other in a 6 man hell in a cell match and the winner would face jimmy justice at king of the mat and not only that but would also compete in their already sceduled king of the mat tournament match and have yet another shot at winning another shot, and to make things even more interesting, matt immaculate couldnt make it tonight so taking his place in the tournament would be asylum world champion jimmy justice. Tyrone and James said they were gonna put their differences aside and win the tag team titles later in the show, however after not winning, they began attacking each other, this brought out james and kip who seemed to side with james diamond and they began to beat tyrone, but former hardcore champion, cj lethal made his way out and cleared the ring helping tyrone zorilla out.
